Dasar lidah tidak bertulang

Yeahhh, cuti summer dihabiskan di bumi Tassie yang indah dan permai ini dengan bekerja. It has been a month! *ok, rasa nak pat bahu sendiri sebab kerja separuh mati and I still survive*

Kerja mmg lah mcm nak mati tapi bila time pay day, juling bijik mata tgk account bank tiba2 ada duit * walaupun x lah banyak mana pun tapi Alhamdulillah sebab boleh tampung hidup aku yang selalu suka derma dekat ebay. Hobart sedih sebab tadak shopping malls*

Kadang2 bila fikir pasal kerja boleh jadi stress. Lagi suka kalau tak kerja and duduk rumah masak nasi and makan depan laptop je. Kalah org kerja office kot walaupun aku kerja jadi pakcik cleaner je

YES! You got it right, aku kerja jadi pakcik cleaner je. Cuci Coles, Woolies dgn BigW kot. Korang mampu? Cuci toilet sendiri pun belum tentu lepas. Hahaha * ok, ni saja nak sedapkan hati *

1) Kerja susah sebab semua guna mesin besar2 nak cuci lantai. Aku tak mahir lagi nak control mesin2 tuh. Kadang2 gedegang langgar rak2 dalam supermarket tuh smpai jatuh barang2. Haha. Nasib takde org. Ada CCTV je :D

2) Kerja pagi2 buta. Subuh x masuk pun lagi aku dah tercongok depan pintu tunggu co worker dtg pick up. Haihhh, kalau boleh bgn pagi2 mcm tu utk qiam kan lagi elok ;)

3) Kerja separuh mati tapi gaji ciput je

4) Co workers mostly Koreans (including supervisor). Co workers x reti cakap English sbb deorg dtg sini utk kerja ke. Kadang2 lain aku cakap lain dia buat. Lain aku tanya lain dia jawab. Lain dia cakap, lain aku jawab. Haihh, sabo je lahh. Nasib aku faham Annyonghaseyo dgn gamsahamnida tuh apa. Haha. Ok, lepas nih kena berjinak2 dgn KPop n drama Korean lah. Senang sikit nak cakap dgn deorg

5) Budak2 Korens tuh suka pasang KPop dalam kereta. Tapi tu kereta dia, suka hati dia lah kan? Tapi telinga aku x dgr KPop. :(
Siap tanya aku lagi kenal tak sapa yg nyanyi lagu KPop tuh. Mana lah aku tau. Gula-Gula dgn Max 24/7 aku kenal ah sbb deorg lagi famous dari Wondergirl n Super Junior

6) Oh, nak tulis pasal tajuk kat atas tuh, tapi dah lebih 1500 words dah rasanya.

Something worth sharing

Found this random blog when I was blog hopping. Yeah, quite random. So simple, only words and it feels like I was reading the literature component textbook back in secondary school days. Haha.

Well, it's not the look that matters, it's the gist that 's important. I really had a good laugh when I was reading this blog. Anddddd not to mention it's made 100% by a Malaysian. Feel free to pay a visit (and comment, if you wanted to. Haha)

Moot, mood and mute

It has been a while since my last post I guess. I do miss my blog sometimes but it is not my personal diary for everyone to read. I do enjoy reading blogs, hopping from one to another and become glued to the screen when I encountered with interesting blogs. So where do i find those awesome blogs? From the sidebar of the blogs that I have visited. So, if you know any awesome blogs, don't forget to share it on your sidebar. I don't really follow blog, as in clicking the follower button to follow blogs, or even commenting, but I am am an avid blog reader (albeit a silent one. Hihi). Certain good things need to be shared with the world, I reckon :P

Moot

What is mooting? Well, basically mooting is a renown competition in law schools. You will be given a fictitious case (usually an appeal case with facts and the initial judgment). There will the two teams: the appellant and the respondent. You will submit your arguments in front of judges on why the appeal should be granted (or dismissed, according to the party you are representing). Basically, that's it! (and not to forget questions from the bench, which are daunting!)

We have a national and an international mooting competitions. The national one is called ALSA Moot Competition and it is held annually in Australia. The international one is called the Jessup Moot where the final round will be held in Washington every year. I always find that mooting is very difficult although I have the interest in joining it. I don't speak perfect English and it's holding me back from pursuing my interest. But does it mean I have to give up my interest just because I don't speak perfect English like all those mat sallehs? When I reached one point where I started questioning myself, I bucked up and took the challenge.

You're going to be a lawyer one day and that requires you to have that essential skill. I know quite a few law students that just don't give a damn about mooting or speaking skills. Hey, not every lawyer has to go to the court and fight for their clients. Some choose to be a lawyer that does not require them to go to the court (corporate lawyer, law lecturer etc). Do I have to speak like those mat sallehs with accent and perfect grammar in order to participate? I though I really have to be one, but second guessing is not really helping. So I told myself, just speak clearly with minimal grammatical mistakes. I should be fine. You're not a mat salleh, so you don't have to be one (well, I have to agree that my fake accent really works sometimes. Haha)

After knowing that a Malaysian law student is in the Jessup team, I was so inspired to take part in mooting. I know he is so good and I wanted to be like him (You will be interviewed by a panel of experts in International Law before being admitted into the team and HE'S THE ONLY ASIAN, A MALAYSIAN in the team. Don't you proud about it? Yes I do! )Well, if he can why couldn't I? And the challenge was accepted although I was doubting my own capability to moot that well. And guess what, me and my partner were the last participants to sign up. I was lucky because she agreed to join it with me because no one else is brave enough to partake in mooting  -___-"

Thank God we were paired with another Asian team (from Singapore). I would strangle myself to death if I were to compete with those mat sallehs. Haha

Ughhhh, the obnoxious Singaporeans. Not a sweeping statement. I have nice Singaporean mates though, but not them!

The KFC-guy- lookalike was a barrister and mind you, you won't even have the courage to look straight into his eyes.

Yes, I know! That's the JPA blazer and it's freaking dark blue when everyone else was wearing black. Haha do I look like I care?

Ok, sad because we don't have that many supporters as compared to the other team. It's already late evening and most people were already at home. Nobody wants to watch our crappy moot TT__TT

*Wink wink*

Ummmm , isn't it obvious which team was the winner? Ooppss. Haha
Annnnddddd, we didn't make it to the final. They only choose the top 2 teams to compete before the real judges in the Supreme Court. Ohhh, how I wish I were in the top 2 teams (dream on Shafiq!)

Mooting taught me many valuable lessons. It's difficult, it's tiresome, it gives you unnecessary adrenaline rush, it gives you nightmare and everything.

- never underestimate other people. Never never look down on people just because they appear to be less superior than you are
- never underestimate your self. Give it a go and see where you could stretch the boundary.
- you dont have to be a mat salleh to speak confidently in front of people. Just speak clearly and try to minimise grammatical mistakes. Well, no noe speaks perfect English, even the mat sallehs
- don't let unnecessary pressure holding you back from pursuing what you love to do.
- low self esteem is normal but it becomes abnormal when you use it as an excuse to escape. Escapism is not good for your health. Hihi. I have a low self-esteem as well, but at times when I really need to abandon those low esteem completely, I really do.
- ask the guidance from Allah, pray to Him. Read doa penerang hati and doa dilancarkan lidah (remember those that we always read before starting the class in primary school?)
- annnnddddd, law school is vicious! I will be having my final exams by the end of this month in just a week! 4  subjects in a week!!! Are you effing serious law school?

Till then, have a good day everyone :)

P/S

What else could I ask except my gratitude to Allah. 1st place for Negotiation in the Junior Competitions! Wohooo. Well, a baby step will lead you to a big leap I guess. You can't even walk if you refused to take the baby steps. :)

I'm leaving.....

..... ON A JETPLANE TOMORROW!

Ye, esok dah nak balik Hobart :(
A month before the date, I was so looking forward to leaving for Hobart. Duduk rumah lama-lama rasa bosan pulak. When it came to a week before leaving, I had mixed feelings about going back to Hobart. Seriously, if I had the power to freeze time macam dalam citer Heroes tuh, aku nak freeze time jangan gerak seminggu lagi. Haha

Beberapa perkara yang merunsingkan saya dan menyebabkan saya rasa malassssssssssssss sangat nak balik Hobart:

1) Rumah belum ada!

2) Malasnyaa nak masak balik. 2 bulan lebih kat rumah hari2 mak yang masak. Hihi

3) Malas nak packing. Nak bawak macam2, tapi luggage 25kg ja. Travel dgn 3 connecting flights takkan nak angkut beg sampai 4-5 bijik kot. Tak convenient ok.

4) Malas nak start kelas lepas tgk jadual yang full sampai petang. Hari Jumaat 4 jam straight without any break in between. Harus aku ponteng kelas utk break and semayang Jumaat. Oh Lectopia, kaulah ciptaan terhebat abad ini! Haha

Saya akan rindu breakfast nasi lemak, roti canai dgn kuih2. Juga lunch dgn lauk pauk yang shedapp-shedapp. Tidak dilupa dinner dan supper *makan saja yang hang ingat!*

Oklah, mahu sambung packing. Doakan saya selamat dalam perjalanan :)

P/S
Baru lepas gelak kuat2 lepas baca berita dekat theMercury online. Berita CNN pergi label Tasmania as Queensland dekat laporan cyclone Yasi. Satu lagi paper Britain yang lukis gambar peta Aussie pastu pecahkan Queensland jadi satu lagi negara iaitu Capricornia. WHAT THE??? Hahahahaha.
